When the going gets tough, Christie Diane gets creative. Despite the constraints of a weakening dollar and climbing Euro, her imaginative designs for Daisy Arts, Inc the Italian leather luxury goods (licensee of the Vatican Library as well as new products for Barney's, Saks, Anthropologie, etc.) directly contributed to a 20% increase in sales in 2004. In addition, Christie worked in the Hollywood limelight as a Costume Designer and Stylist. There she worked with many notables such as Sylvester Stallone, Melanie Griffith, Gabrielle Byrne, Jamie Foxx, Charlize Theron, George Lopez, and others. She also ran her own painted clothing business that sold clothing to boutiques nationwide. And when it came time to head up Visual Merchandising at David Yurman, Christie Diane had both the creative eye and stylistic experience for making the crucial choice of just the right pieces for dressing showcase windows to styling runway, redcarpet and fashion magazine shoots for such beauty icons as Kate Moss, Naomi Watts, and others. Most recently, Christie has been creating and developing a complete line of jewelry for the Cirque du Soleil, to be sold in their big top tent shops worldwide.
Christe brings her creativitiy to all she does with organization, energy and an entrepreneur's wisdom. Her paintings are her first and true love, where all her creative professional experience seems to blend into the paint.
Christie Diane has a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oregon, where she also studied theater and dance. Graduating with high honors Summa Cum Laude with a 4.03 GPA and also receiving the Ina McClung Fine Arts tuition Scholarship.
She also studied Fashion Design at Otis Parsons School of Art and Design. There she received several competitive full tuition scholarships such as the Ahmanson/ Mark Taper Forum Fine Arts Scholarship, the Otis Outstanding Transfer Student Fine Art Scholarship, and the Otis Institutional Fine Art Talent Grant.
